PALEMBANG – Walikota Palembang, H. Harnojoyo menitip pesan kepada Pasukan Pengibar Bendera (Paskibra) Kota Palembang agar menjaga kesehatan.

Mengingat waktu yang sudah tidak lama lagi mereka akan melaksanakan tugas mengibarkan bendera pada HUT RI ke-76 di Rumah Dinas Walikota Palembang.

“Jaga kesehatan, jangan lalai hingga sakit. Waktu tinggal tiga hari lagi. Sukseskan HUT RI Pemkot Palembang,” katanya, Sabtu,(14/8/21).

Pesan itu disampaikannya sesaat usai mengukuhkan 30 personel Tim Pasukan Pengibar Bendera di Rumah Dinas Walikota, Jalan Tasik.

Diumbarnya, Harnojoyo pun mengakui dahulu saat masih di bangku sekolah bermimpi menjadi tim Pengibar Bendera. Namun sayangnya, mimpi itu tidak terwujud.

Maka dirinya berharap, para siswa dan siswi SMA di Palembang yang terpilih ini harus berbangga hati.

“Saya rasa keinginan semua siswa bisa jadi pengibar bendera HUT RI seperti sekarang ini. Saya dulu juga begitu, tetapi tidak tercapai,” ucapnya.

Sebelumnya, Paskibra Kota Palembang sendiri telah melakukan latihan sejak pertengahan Juli hingga Agustus di Rumah Dinas Walikota.

Pasukan Pengibar Bendera yang dari 15 laki-laki dan 15 perempuan ini merupakan siswa/siswi hasil seleksi dari Paskibra sekolah masing-masing.

Mengingat begitu beratnya perjuangan mereka, membuat Harnojoyo memberikan apresiasi kepada siswa/siswi terbaik di kota Palembang tersebut dan berharap besar dapat menyukseskan tugas pengibaran bendera pada peringatan HUT RI nanti, agar apa yang telah mereka perjuangkan tidak sia-sia.
