BANYUASIN – Gubernur Sumsel H Herman Deru mengapresiasi langkah para pengusaha yang terus berupaya menciptakan lapangan kerja baru bagi masyarakat kendati di tengah pandemi Covid-19 saat ini.

Apresiasi itu disampaikannya ketika meresmikan Kolam Renang Lombok Kenten dan Taman Bunga Jokis di Desa Kenten Laut Kecamatan Talang Kelapa Kabupaten Banyuasin, Jum’at (6/8/2021) siang.

Menurutnya, upaya yang dilakukan para pengusaha khususnya pemilik Kolam Renang Lombok Kenten dan Taman Bunga Jokis yang baru saja diresmikan tersebut merupakan bentuk tanggung jawab terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat.

“Kita apresiasi pengusaha kolam renang dan taman bunga ini. Disaat berbagai perusahaan besar memutuskan hubungan kerja karyawannya, mereka ini justru membuat lapangan kerja baru melalui usaha ini,” kata Herman Deru.

Dia mengatakan, kolam renang dan taman bunga ini bukan hanya dapat dimanfaatkan masyarakat sebagai sarana untuk mencari rezeki namun juga meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD).

Bahkan, dia juga mengajak agar para pengusaha lainnya dapat berlomba menciptakan lapangan kerja baru.

“Ini mendorong tumbuhnya sektor pariwisata di Sumsel. Selain lapangan kerja baru, mudah-mudahan upaya ini dapat meningkatkan PAD,” terangnya.

Khusus untuk kolam renang, dia berharap dapat menjadi sarana edukasi bagi masyarakat sehingga tumbuhnya bibit atlet baru olahraga renang.

“Kolam renang ini memang untuk rekreasi, namun dapat dijadikan masyarakat untuk belajar berenang. Menjadi sarana edukasi untuk masyarakat dan memantik keinginan untuk berprestasi dalam olahraga renang. Jaga terus keberlangsungan tempat ini agar lebih baik lagi,” ujarnya.

Dia juga berpesan, agar pemilik terus menerapkan norma yang berlaku dan menjaga kearifan lokal Sumsel di kawasan rekreasi tersebut.

“Tentu norma yang berlaku harus terus diterapkan juga disini. Selain itu, bawa juga kearifan lokal kita disini. Saya sebagai pemimpin daerah sangat berterima kasih karena pemilik telah mengambil sebagian peran pemerintah dalam memulihkan ekonomi,” tuturnya.

Sementara itu, Pemilik Kolam Renang Lombok Kenten dan Taman Bunga Jokis, Atik Maryati mengatakan, dibuatnya tempat rekreasi tersebut merupakan bentuk komitmennya dalam memajukan pariwisata di Sumsel.

“Tempat ini kami buat untuk mengembangkan sektor pariwisata di Sumsel. Kami terus mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam menumbuhkan pariwisata ini,” katanya.

Dia berharap, tempat rekreasi tersebut dapat menjadi icon wisata baru.

“Mudah-mudahan ini dapat menjadi sektor pariwisata baru di Sumsel. Rekreasi ini sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat untuk melepas penat,” pungkasnya.

Turut hadir dalam kegiatan itu, Anggota DPRD Sumsel M Yaser, Bupati Banyuasin diwakili Kepala Dispora dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Banyuasin Merki Bakri, Owner Kolam Renang Lombok Kenten dan Taman Bunga Jokis Jamil dan Atik Maryati, serta Ustad Solihin Hasibuan.
