PALEMBANG – Virus COVID-19 varian Kappa yang terdeteksi di wilayah Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) saat ini masih dilakukan pemeriksaan mendalam oleh Dinas Kesehatan Sumsel. Varian ini mudah menyebar sehingga masyarakat harus dan wajib memperketat protokol kesehatan.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Sumsel, Lesty Nuraini, mengatakan masyarakat harus lebih ekstra hati-hati agar tidak terpapar dan mengurangi aktivitas di luar rumah. “Jika sudah ada di Indonesia, tentunya protokol kesehatan harus lebih meningkat,” katanya, Rabu (7/7/2021).
Sementara itu, pintu masuk bandara dan Pelabuhan dinilai rentan dan berisiko terhadap penyebaran virus. Perjalanan masyarakat dari wilayah ke wilayah, mempermudah perpindahan virus jenis baru.
Kepala Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan KKP Palembang, Nur Purwoko, mengatakan penularannya semakin mudah bisa menempel di badan, barang-barang yang dibawa oleh penumpang.
Untuk memperkecil penyebaran terjadi beberapa aturan baru bagi pelaku perjalanan telah dikeluarkan oleh Kemenhub sebagai penanggung jawab diantaranya masyarakat yang bepergian ke pulau Jawa dan Bali harus menunjukkan atau melakukan tes PCR ataupun sudah melakukan vaksinasi.
“Antisipasinya setiap bandara dan pelabuhan keberangkatan screening terhadap pelaku perjalanan sesuai aturan berlaku,” katanya.
Executive General Manager PT Angkasa Pura II Bandara SMB II Palembang, Tommy Ariesdianto, mengatakan pihaknya mendukung upaya pemerintah salah satunya dengan program vaksinasi.
“Penumpang tetap diwajibkan PCR dan vaksin sebagai syarat perjalanan bagi mereka yang akan berpergian ke Jawa ataupun Bali. Sedangkan untuk vaksinasi sendiri sudah bisa di Bandara SMB II Palembang,” katanya.
