PALEMBANG – Even bergengsi bagi siswa SMK yakni Lomba kompetensi siswa (LKS) SMK tingkat Provinsi Sumsel sudah berlangsung. para siswa berprestasi yang berhasil meraih sebagai pemenang di even ini akan mewakili provinsi Sumsel ke tingkat nasional yang akan digelar pada akhir tahun mendatang.
“Kita masih banyak waktu sekitar 4 bulan untuk melaju ke tingkat nasional,” ujar Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumsel, Riza Pahlevi, Senin (14/6/2021).
“Para pemenang ini kita akan latih dengan guru pembimbingnya dan juga kita juga libatkan juara 2 dan 3 untuk saling membantu dan mensupport selama empat bulan ini,” tegas dia.
Selama waktu yang cukup lama ini, kata dia dimanfaatkan untuk mempersiapkan siswa untuk mendapatkan pembekalan ilmu lebih banyak lagi.
“Kita targetkan tahun lalu Sumsel masuk 8 besar tahun ini minimal mampu masuk 5 besar,” ungkap dia.
Sementara itu, Kabid SMK Disdik Sumsel, Mondyaboni mengatakan dari 250 siswa yang ikut dalam lomba LKS ini akan dikirim perwakilan pemenang yang meraih juara 1 untuk ke tingkat nasional.
“Kita menggelar 35 cabang lomba yang sudah kita lombakan. Dan ini para pemenang kita sudah umumkan dan telah menerima piagam dan uang pembinaan bagi para peserta,” jelas dia.
Ia mengatakan dalam menjelang LKS tingkat nasional yang akan digelar November mendatang tentu berbagai persiapan dilakukan dengan matang.
“Kita harap siswa ini bukan hanya mampu juara ditingkat nasional saja nanti tetapi lebih dari itu kita harao bisa melaju ke tingkat internasional.Ini yang akan kita terus lakukan menjelang LKS tingkat Nasional, ” harap Mondy.
