“Hari ini kita melihat alternatif trase untuk menuju Desa Tanjung Pering dari pintu keluar Tol Palindra. Kenapa kesannya kita sudah terdesak, karena dari pintu keluar Tol Palindra itu sudah 12 kali kecelakaan nabrak pagar Unsri,” ungkap HD di hadapan awak media di Indralaya.
Herman Deru merespon keinginan Bupati Ogan Ilir untuk menyambungkan jalan tersebut hingga tembus ke Desa Tanjung Pering. Untuk menindaklanjuti hal tersebut, HD memerintahkan pejabatnya supaya membentuk tim terkait pembangunan alternatif trase Tol Palindra.
“Nanti kita akan sampaikan ke Menteri Pendidikan supaya merelakan aset milik Unsri ini. Pinjam pakaipun boleh, nanti Pemda yang bangun,” pungkasnya.
Ditempat ini gubernur juga melihat dari dekat embung penampungan air yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber air disaat musim kemarau serta bisa menjadi lokasi wisata alternatif bagi warga sekitar.
Sementara itu, Bupati Ogan Ilir, Panca Wijaya Akbar berharap, pihak Unsri bersedia memberikan asetnya untuk kepentingan masyarakat banyak. Mengingat, sudah seringnya terjadinya kecelakaan di pintu keluar Tol Palindra.
“Sesuai dengan aspirasi masyarakat, bahwa meminta supaya akses ini dipotong, sehingga bisa menghidupkan suasana di wilayah Desa Tanjung Pering. Jangan hanya terpusat di lintas tengah dan timur, Alhamdulillah ini disambut baik oleh pak gubernur,” ungkap Panca.
Dia menyebut, kecelakaan lalu lintas yang sering terjadi di pintu keluar Tol Palembang-Indralaya dan menabrak pagar milik Universitas Sriwijaya, sudah menjadi perhatian Bupati Ogan Ilir, Panca Wijaya Akbar.
Untuk itu, dirinya berkeinginan untuk membuka akses jalan tersebut melewati lahan milik Universitas Sriwijaya.
