Deru Targetkan Sumsel Juara di LKS Tingkat Nasional

PALEMBANG- Ajang tahunan yang sangat ditunggu-tunggu oleh seluruh siswa SMK yakni Ajang Lomba Kompetensi Siswa (LKS) tingkat SMK Provinsi Sumsel secara resmi digelar dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang ketat.

Gubernur Sumsel, Herman Deru yang membuka secara langsung pelaksanaan LKS SMK tingkat Provinsi ini berharap Sumsel dapat meraih juara di tingkat nasional.

Deru mengatakan dengan adanya kegiatan semacam ini sebagai ajang untuk para bibit-bibit yang terpendam ini muncul dan bisa membawa harum nama sekolah khususnya dan Sumsel.

“Kalau targetnya kita mau juara satulah, kita rebut juara di tingkat nasional,” ujar Deru usai membuka pembukaan LKS di Aula Asrama Haji, Rabu (9/6/2021).

Deru juga berharap Gelar semacam ini dilakukan agar muncul potensi yang terpendam dan ini saya harapkan rutin. Dan kita berikan piala bergilir dari Gubernur dan beragam hadiah lainnya agar membuat para siswa semangat,” jelasnya.

Lanjut Deru, ia juga meminta agar siswa SMK dapat berinovasi didalam ajang lomba ini. “Kita harapkan SMK bisa menciptakan satu inovasi yang akan kita gerakan one smk, one inovasi agar SMK dengan tagline SMK Bisa ini benar-benar terwujud,” ungkap dia.

Apalagi, di zaman era teknologi saat i ni harus dapat dimanfaatkan para generasi milenial untuk dapat menciptakan inovasi yang ada.

“Beda dengan dulu, kalau sekarang jaman serba canggih dan tentunya kecanggihan ini harus dapat kita lakukan dengan baik,” jelasnya.

Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Palembang, Riza Pahlevi didampingi Kepala Bidang SMK Disdik Sumsel, Mondyaboni mengatakan tahun lalu Sumsel masuk delapan besar di ajang nasional.

“Tentu target kita tahun ini dapat lebih baik lagi, minimal 5 besar namun kita tetap mengejar juara,” ungkap dia.

Ia mengatakan pelaksanaan LKS SMK tingkat Provinsi ini digelar dengan mengutamakan protokol kesehatan yang ketat.

“Ya, untuk pelaksanaan tetap digelar dengan prokes yang ketat,” ungkap dia.

Lanjut Riza, dalam pelaksanan LKS SMK tingkat provinsi ini diikuti sebanyak 250an peserta yang berasal dari kabupaten/kota di Sumsel.

“Para peserta ini merupakan perwakilan kabupaten/kota yang telah mengikuti tes seleksi di tingkat kabupaten/kota, lalu lanjut ke tingkat provinsi,” jelasnya.

Nantinya, dari tingkat provinsi ini pemenang akan mewakili ke tingkat Nasional mengikuti lomba mewakili Sumsel.

“Kita harap Sumsel pasti bisa, dengan bisa meraih ditingkat nasional para pemenang nantu akan bisa ke tingkat internasional,”ucapnya.
