PALEMBANG – Gubernur Sumsel Herman Deru mendukung upaya Kantor Wilayah (Kanwil) Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia (Kemenkumham) Provinsi Sumsel yang akan memberikan remisi umum dan pemberian vaksin bagi Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP).
Dukungan itu dikatakannya saat menerima Kepala Kantor Wilayah (Kakanwil) Kemenkumham Provinsi Sumsel, Indro Purwoko beserta jajarannya di ruang tamu Gubernur, Kamis (15/7).
Menurut Herman Deru pemberian vaksin untuk warga binaan cukup penting karena harus dilakukan dengan segera, untuk menghindari terjangkit virus corona antar warga binaan maupun dengan keluarga yang datang berkunjung. Untuk itu dirinya mengintruksikan Dinas Kesehatan Sumsel untuk memfasilitasi jalannya pemberian vaksin agar dapat berjalan lancar, terutama bagi penghuni Lapas yang padat
“Saya instruksikan Dinkes Sumsel untuk mendorong pelaksanaan ini. Artinya untuk warga binaan diprioritaskan, karena untuk kepentingan mereka dan keluarga yang akan datang berkunjung,” katanya.
Sedangkan terkait dengan agenda pemberian remisi umum bagi WBP dalam rangka HUT RI ke 76 tanggal 17 Agustus 2021 mendatang, Herman Deru menegaskan hal tersebut sudah menjadi agenda tahunan.
“Sudah sepantasnya remisi umum diberikan di hari kemerdekaan RI,” tandasnya.
Sementara itu, Kakanwil Kemenkumham Provinsi Sumsel, Indro Purwoko mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Gubernur Herman Deru yang sudah mendorong pemberian vaksin bagi warga binaan termasuk penyerahan remisi umum 17 Agustus mendatang.
Untuk vaksin ini, lanjut Indro ada sebanyak 15.181 warga binaan yang ada di Sumsel, namun sesuai arahan Gubernur Herman Deru agar pelaksanaannya di prioritaskan bagi Lapas yang padat.
“Jadi prioritas pak Gubernur kepada Dinkes Sumsel agar diprioritaskan di Lapas padat seperti di Lapas 1 Palembang, Lapas Perempuan Palembang dan Rutan palembang,” katanya.
Tak hanya itu, lanjut dia mengatakan dimana Gubernur Herman Deru juga mengintruksikan kepada Kemenkumham agar terus berkoordinasi dengan Dinkes Sumsel.
“Arahan pak Gubernur dapat terus berkoodinasi dengan Dinkes Sumsel, kami akan tindak lanjuti, beliau juga meminta pemberian vaksin ini segera,” tutupnya.
