Akibat Pelemparan Batu di Lahat, Masinis KAI Luka di Pelipis

LAHAT – Seorang masinis PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) bernama Joni Iskandar, tiba-tiba kaget melihat batu melayang ke arah wajahnya. Orang tidak dikenal (OTD) secara secepat kilat melempar batu ke arah ruang kemudi tempatnya bekerja saat kereta masih melaju.

Lemparan batu itu mengenai pelipis wajah Joni, pecahan kaca di ruang kemudi pun ikut menancap di wajahnya hingga mengakibatkan luka robek di bagian pelipis. Joni hanya terluka, namun kejadian tersebut sempat membuat KA 3770 yang mengangkut BBM sempat dinyatakan Berhenti Luar Biasa (BLB).

“Kejadian pelemparan batu terjadi kemarin sore. Saat itu korban sebagai masinis sedang berdinas mengawal Lok 201 8341 di KA 3770,” ungkap Manager Humas PT KAI Divre III, Aida Suryanti,Kamis (27/8/2021).

Korban yang sedang membawa kereta melintas di KM 425+8 petak jalan Lahat-Sukacinta. Korban Joni menurut Aida, harus dilarikan ke sebuah rumah sakit di Lahat untuk menjalani perawatan di akibat, dahi, pelipis, dan wajah korban yang terluka.

“Kondisinya sejauh ini sudah membaik, hanya perlu untuk istirahat. Pelemparan batu ini cukup sering terjadi dan membahayakan petugas di lapangan,” jelas dia.

Aida menjelaskan, kejadian pelemparan batu memang sangat mengkhawatirkan. Pihaknya sangat menyayangkan kejadian ini karena ditakutkan berakibat fatal.

“Bayangkan kalau yang terkena lemparan batu tersebut merupakan anggota keluarga kita, atau akibat lemparan batu mengakibatkan luka parah di area sekitar mata yang berujung kebutaan, tentunya sangat fatal,” jelas dia.

Aida menambahkan, tim pengamanan KAI sedang berusaha mencari pelaku pelemparan itu. Bila tertangkap, KAI akan melapor ke pihak berwajib. Pihaknya juga mengimbau agar masyarakat di sekitar rel kereta ikut menjaga keselamatan perjalanan kereta.

“Sosialisasi bahaya pelemparan juga sering kami lakukan, terutama pada remaja dan anak-anak di sekitar jalur rel. Tindakan tersebut sangat membahayakan perjalanan kereta api,” tutup Aida. (RZ)
