3000 Karyawan RSMH Palembang di Swab Massal

PALEMBANG – Sebanyak 3000 lebih tenaga kesehatan, pejabat struktural, fungsional dan tenaga honorer di lingkungan Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) Mohammad Husein Palembang mendapatkan swab.

Humas RSMH Palembang, Ahmad Suhaimi menjelaskan, swab massal ini dilakukan sesuai arahan Direktur Jenderal Pelayanan Kesehatan. Hal itu sebagai langkah pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19 di lingkungan Direktorat Jenderal Pelayanan Kesehatan.

“Hari ini adalah hari ke 4 pelaksanaan swab massal di lapangan tenis RSMH Palembang. Ini wajib diikuti oleh seluruh karyawan RSMH Palembang termasuk pejabat struktural, fungsional dan juga tenaga honor,” jelasnya, Kamis (7/7/2021).

Suhaimi menambahkan, Pemeriksaan Swab RT-PCR ini untuk mengantisipasi tenaga kesehatan yang tanpa gejala dapat segera terdeteksi lebih dini jika terinfeksi virus Covid-19. Sehingga tenaga kesehatan yang terinfeksi virus dapat segera diisolasi

Karena, tenaga Kesehatan merupakan garda terdepan yang dibutuhkan untuk penanganan pasien covid 19 dan mereka juga rentan terpapar COVID 19 karena bekerja di lingkungan rumah sakit.

“Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mempercepat pencegahan maupun penanganan wabah virus Covid-19 yang saat ini tengah mengalami lonjakan kasus yang cukup tinggi,” terangnya.

Tujuan Swab itu sebagai prosedur untuk memutus mata rantai penyebaran, dan bentuk perlindungan bagi petugas medis agar tidak tertular. Apabila banyak tenaga medis yang terinfeksi, maka masyarakat akan kesulitan mendapatkan akses layanan kesehatan. Untuk itu keterbukaan perlu dibudayakan bersama.

“Harapan ke depan Swab masal bagi tenaga kesehatan ini dapat dilakukan berkala, untuk memberikan perlindungan kepada para tenaga kesehatan,” harap Suhaimi.
